Ellie

Ellie is a very special prize baby – she won first place in her silicone category at this year’s Dolls of The World Expo 2025 art doll contest!!  I simply adore her sweet expressive face and know she will bring lots of enjoyment to her forever home.
She is one of a kind in that no other Ellie doll will ever be painted exactly as she has been.
Ellie is a 20” newborn size
full body silicone art doll, weighing just over 7 pounds, making her an absolute dream to hold and cuddle. She was completely hand sculpted from clay, then moulded and cast into a special super soft blend platinum silicone – all by the very talented Dawn Donofrio of DDArtDolls. Dawn also put full soft armatures in her arms, legs and neck, making this darling girl extra posable and fun to dress up for photos, or to simply admire.
Ellie has been brought to life by me, MegsArtDolls. She has been hand painted with many meticulously applied layers of Psycho Paint, each layer tinted with a series of custom shades mixed by me with Smooth-On Silc Pig pigments for silicone, to give her skin the multi-faceted appearance of a real baby. Her matting layer was applied carefully with Just Matte Silicone Finishing Powder, giving her a realistic baby soft skin feel. Her hair has been mono-rooted along the front hairline and sides with premium quality fine dark brown Alpaca hair and micro-rooted throughout the crown and leading up to her swirl with dark brown silky smooth fine adult Mohair. Both types of hair used were professionally processed by Sarah Silk of Silk Effex Mohair. Her eyebrows were hand applied with tweezers using small cut, ultra fine Alpaca hair for realism and sealed in place with a thin layer of silicone. The cumulative process of her creation required over 100 hours of work. I nonetheless take great pride in tending to every detail when bringing my art dolls to life.
